It's Michelle, your favorite Southern owner from The Venue at Springfield Estates in Georgetown, SC and I am just bubbling over with excitement for all you newly engaged couples out there! Congratulations! This is such a magical time, full of dreams, planning, and of course, those oh-so-important date nights. You're building a lifetime of memories, and what better place to do it than in our charming little corner of South Carolina?
We are a dedicated family business!
Now, my husband Ed and our two girls, Chase, Neeve and Cade (not pictured here, you will see him later!) O’Reilly know a thing or two about love and making memories, especially when it comes to celebrating that special connection. After all we are a family business! So, if you're thinking about tying the knot with us at Springfield Estates or some other fabulous southern venue – and I truly hope you are! – then you're probably already falling in love with the Lowcountry. And let me tell you, there's no shortage of enchanting spots for a romantic evening in Charleston and Georgetown.
Charleton Historic Carriage Ride tours!
Let's start with a little trip down to Charleston, shall we? Oh, that Holy City just oozes romance around every cobblestone corner!
Charleston Date Night Delights:
Colorful, historic Rainbow Row!
A Stroll on The Battery & Rainbow Row: You just can't beat a leisurely walk hand-in-hand along The Battery. The salty breeze, the historic homes, the harbor views – it's pure magic, especially at sunset. And don't forget to wander over to Rainbow Row for some of the most charming and colorful photo ops!
Fine Dining with a View: Charleston's culinary scene is out of this world! For a truly special evening, consider making reservations at a place like Husk for elevated Southern cuisine, or if you want some waterfront charm, try Fleet Landing. There’s something so romantic about sharing a delicious meal and making plans for your future.Carriage Ride through Historic Streets: This might sound a little cliché, but trust me, a horse-drawn carriage ride through the gas-lamp lit streets of downtown Charleston is absolutely enchanting. It's a wonderful way to soak in the history and beauty of the city together.
Cocktails at a Rooftop Bar: For a more modern vibe, head to one of Charleston's fabulous rooftop bars, like The Watch at The Restoration Hotel or Citrus Club. Sip on some craft cocktails and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Cheers to your future!

Georgetown Date Night Gems:
Historic Waterfront
Waterfront Dining on the Harborwalk: Georgetown's Harborwalk is the heart of our town, and it's simply delightful for an evening out. Grab a table at one of the fantastic restaurants like The River Room or Buzz's Roost. Enjoy fresh seafood, listen to the boats gently swaying, and just enjoy each other's company.
Catch a Show at the Winyah Auditorium: Check out the schedule at the historic Winyah Auditorium for live music, plays, or other performances. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy some culture and support our local arts scene.
Sunset at Huntington Beach State Park: Just a short drive from Georgetown, Huntington Beach State Park offers stunning natural beauty. Pack a picnic, watch the sun dip below the horizon over the marsh or the ocean, and keep an eye out for alligators – from a safe distance, of course! It’s a truly serene and unforgettable experience.
Ghost Tour through Historic Georgetown: For something a little different and spooky fun, consider taking a ghost tour! Georgetown has a rich and sometimes eerie history, and these tours are a fascinating way to explore the town's past hand-in-hand. You might even get a little closer if you get scared!
Spend the weekend brows inghe shops, restuarants, even build a boat at the magnificent Wooden Boat Festival!,a, atoner 17 and 18th!
