Lowcountry Fall Festival Fun

Riverfront Revival Waterfront Music Festival in charleston, sc

Riverfront Revival Music Festival

Riverfront Revival Music Festival: Curated by our own Darius Rucker, this two-day music festival in mid-October at Riverfront Park is a celebration of country music and the Lowcountry vibe. It's a fantastic weekend of live performances and local flavors. This year Riley Green, The Red Strays, Bill Murray (our local celebrity) & his blood Brothers and ofcourse Darius Rucker will be putting on an amazing show. I’ll be there, come say hey!

Harvest Festival on Johns Island: Typically held in early November at Johns Island County Park, this is perfect for that Southern, relaxed feel. Think live bluegrass music, Carolina BBQ, hayrides, and even an archery station. It's a wonderful day out in the county park!

Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch & Fright Nights: This is a Lowcountry staple! My kids always enjoyed picking out their huge pumpkins every year! Bring the whole family for some good, old-fashioned farm fun at the Pumpkin Patch, running from late September to late October. This has always been They have a huge corn maze, hayrides, a petting zoo, and, of course, a massive patch to pick your perfect pumpkin! For the older, thrill-seeking crowd, the Boone Hall Fright Nights haunted attractions are a must-do in October. One of my daughters even worked at Boone Hall Fright night and she scared me to death!

Arts, Culture, and History

The crisp fall air is perfect for exploring the culture and history that makes Charleston so special.

The Preservation Society of Charleston Fall Tours: If you're like me and love getting a peek behind those gorgeous iron gates, these tours are for you! They usually run from early to late October and allow you to explore the stunning private homes, architecture, and gardens of the historic district. It's an incredible opportunity to see the interior beauty of the Holy City.

It wouldn't be autumn without a little fright! Charleston, being one of the oldest cities in America, is packed with ghostly tales.

Southern Screams Haunted House: If a classic haunted house is your style, check out Southern Screams, often hosted at Holy City Brewing in October for a guaranteed scare.

Ghost Tours: You have to do a ghost tour! Take a Haunted Carriage Tour or a Ghost and Graveyard Walking Tour to hear the eerie legends of pirates, patriots, and prisoners in our historic district. The Old City Jail or the Provost Dungeon tours are always good for a genuine chill!

Fall means cooler weather, which means prime time for patio dining and world-class food events!
